Product information for purchasing teams
S690QL is a quenched and tempered steel with a minimum yield of 690 MPa, about twice that of S355. Designers use it to cut weight in cranes, trailers, booms and heavy machinery. "QL" means the plate is impact tested at -40 °C. Welding needs controlled pre-heat and heat input.
